July 25, 2024 3:40 a.m.

Thrive Umpqua is holding the Longest Table, Community Dinner and Celebration on Saturday August 24th from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

A release said residents are invited gather for a farm-to-table dinner, crafted by local chefs, at the scenic Stewart Park Green Bridge at Stewart Park Drive – adjacent to Fir Grove Park. The event will provide a unique space for residents to share ideas and get to know one another. From advocating for walkable neighborhoods to fostering active friendships and promoting healthy lifestyle choices, attendees are asked to bring their ideas to the table.

The Longest Table serves as the grand finale of the Love Your Neighborhood Campaign, which was kicked off with the Thrive Umpqua proclamation by Roseburg Mayor Larry Rich on May 1st. The campaign encourages residents to connect with others, cultivating a deeper sense of belonging, safety and purpose.
