A trooper with Oregon State Police responded to a single-vehicle wreck on Highway 138E a few miles east of Glide on Tuesday night.

An OSP report said just after 8:00 p.m. a pickup with a camper was traveling eastbound near milepost 21, when the vehicle crashed, landing on its driver’s side and blocking the eastbound lane. The 62-year-old driver stated that he choked while eating Whopper candy, which caused him to lose focus on the roadway. A passenger and the driver’s wife had the same recounting of the event.

The vehicle apparently left the roadway slightly, but ultimately tipped over. All occupants were uninjured. The driver was cited. A tow company towed the pickup and camper.
