Roseburg Police cited five people for drinking in public during three incidents on Saturday.

An RPD report said at 11:25 a.m. a 64-year-old woman was observed consuming alcohol from a can at the corner of Northeast Winchester Street and Northeast Rowe Street. A citation was issued.

Just after 2:30 p.m. officers contacted a 39-year-old in the 900 block of Northeast Rowe Street after seeing him drink an alcoholic beverage in public. The man had been warned and cited numerous times before and was aware of the city ordinance.

At 4:45 p.m. officers spotted three men drinking beer, also in the 900 block of Northeast Rowe Street. They were 24, 28, and 32 years old. They poured the beer out and were issued citations.

All five people were released after the citations were issued.
