Roseburg Police cited a man for driving while suspended on Thursday.

An RPD report said at 1:35 p.m. the 33-year-old was observed driving a vehicle in the 700 block Northeast Garden Valley Boulevard. An officer knew the man’s license was suspended. He was pulled over and arrested, his vehicle was impounded, and his dog was taken to Saving Grace Pet Adoption Center.

While in route to the jail, the man claimed that he had swallowed drugs. He was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center where he was eventually booked and released.
