Umpqua Community College has announced a fall guest speaker.
A college release said he will be Richard Reeves. Reeves is the author of: Of Boys and Men: Why the Modern Male is Struggling, Why It Matters and What to Do About It. His book was described by the New York Times as a “landmark”. It was also named book of the year by both The Economist and The New Yorker.
Reeves is founding President of the American Institute for Boys and Men. It has been described as the first and only national organization dedicated to objective, non-partisan research and policy development aimed at enhancing the wellbeing of boys and men.
Reeve’s talk will be presented in the college’s Jacoby Auditorium on September 19th from 4:00 p.m. to 6;00 p.m.
