OSP JAILS CALIFORNIA MAN FOR FALSE INFORMATION/FAILURE TO CARRY

Oregon State Police jailed a California man after a traffic stop Tuesday night.

An OSP report said just after 6:30 p.m. the 27-year-old’s vehicle was pulled over on Interstate Five southbound a mile north of the Winchester interchange. The driver failed to present his driver’s license and allegedly provided a false name and date of birth for identification. The driver was detained and was found to have his driver’s license in his sock. He was charged with providing false information to a police officer and for failure to carry and present an operator’s license. The man was detained without bail. His vehicle was towed.
