Roseburg Police jailed a man for offensive littering on Tuesday.

An RPD report said at 11:40 a.m. the 54-year-old had his tent sent up in the bark mulch/landscaped area between the Interstate 5 northbound onramp and the freeway at the Harvard Avenue interchange.

There were approximately two pickup truckloads of trash surrounding the man’s camp. The suspect is aware of the camping ordinance. He was taken into custody without incident and was transported to corrections. Bail was set at $1,250. He was also cited for prohibited camping.
