ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL MAN AFTER ALLEGED KISSING INCIDENT

Roseburg Police jailed a man after an alleged kissing incident on Saturday.

An RPD report said shortly before 7:00 p.m. officers contacted the 41-year-old near the intersection of Northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard and Northeast Fulton Street. It was reported that he had grabbed the victim while was she working at a business and forcefully kissed her on the neck.

The suspect was found aggressively chasing another man in the street nearby and was detained without incident. The suspect admitted to grabbing and kissing the victim, claiming that she was his wife. While he was detained, dispatch confirmed the man had a cite and release warrant out of Marion County.

The suspect was charged with second-degree disorderly conduct and harassment. Bail was set at $5,000.
