DEPUTY JAILS MYRTLE CREEK MAN FOR WARRANT

Covering coastal Douglas County:

A deputy with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office jailed a Myrtle Creek man on Friday.

A DCSO report said at 7:30 p.m. the 46-year-old was stopped on the sand for violations near Banshee Hill in Winchester Bay. Dispatch advised that the man had active warrant, which was confirmed.

He was charged with driving while suspended and for the warrant. Bail was set at $500,000.
