Roseburg saw the hottest day of 2024 so far and set a new record high for the date on Saturday.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service told News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN that the mercury reached 107 degrees at the Roseburg Regional Airport. The previous high for the year was 104 degrees, set on Friday. 107 eclipsed the former record for July 6th, which was 102 degrees set on that date in 1960.

The current heat wave has given Roseburg two record all-time highs for the date in a row. There is the potential to see five all-time records for the date set, as temperatures are forecasted to remain above 100 degrees through Tuesday.
