CANYONVILLE DMV OFFICES REDUCES STAFF DAYS STARTING MONDAY

June 24, 2024 3:20 a.m.

The Department of Motor Vehicles office in Canyonville has reduced its service days effective Monday.

A DMV release said the office, which operates with a small staff of two, has insufficient personnel to remain open daily and will close on Mondays and Fridays until further notice.

New service days and hours will be:

*9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays

*10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Wednesdays

DMV Administrator Amy Joyce said, “We encourage our customers to visit DMV2U first to see if they can complete their service online and skip the trip to an office”. Joyce said, “We’ve added more than two dozen of the most common DMV transaction services in the past few years to increase convenience to our customers. More people doing online transactions means fewer lines and lower wait times at DMV offices”.

The release said southern Oregon residents can also visit DMV offices in Roseburg or Grants Pass, or complete transactions like registration renewal or transferring a title through the mail. Other services, such as adding the Real ID option to your license, must be done in person. Before you go to any DMV, visit the office page to make sure its open. All DMV offices will be closed July 4th for Independence Day.
