Douglas County Commissioners Chris Boice, Tim Freeman and Tom Kress, along with the county’s Senior Services Director Jeanne Wright and her staff are excited to present “The Grand Lunch”.
A county release said it will an intergenerational lunch series offered for the summer at the Bistro Sixty Senior Dining Site in Yoncalla. As part of this series, kids are encouraged to invite their favorite grandparent, or even their favorite aunt, uncle, neighbor or adopted grandparent over the age of sixty to share a meal while enjoying games, music and photo booth fun together.
The Grand Lunches will be offered once a month on Fridays. The first one is this Friday, with dates set for July 19th and August 16th as well. The event begins at 11:30 a.m. at the Yoncalla Community Center on Main Street in Yoncalla. Reservations are requested. Kids must be accompanied by a senior age 60 or more. Call Senior Services at 440-3677 to reserve a spot.
