EXTENSION WORKSHOP ON PRESERVING BERRIES

June 18, 2024 2:50 a.m.

The Oregon State University Extension Service and Master Food Preservers are offering a workshop on preserving berries on July 27th.

An extension release said it will take place at the Lookingglass Grange from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Master Food Preservers will help attendees turn their summer berry surplus into year-round berry bliss. Participants will make freezer jam, explore dehydration techniques, and learn how to use both water bath and stream canners while canning pie filling and jam. All berries will be covered – raspberry, blackberry, blueberry, and strawberry. There will even be a pineapple recipe to share.
