Roseburg Police jailed a man for a restraining order violation on Wednesday night.

An RPD report said at 8:10 p.m. officers contacted a 34-year-old man and a protected party in the parking lot of a business in the 3000 block of Northeast Stephens Street. There is a valid RO which restrains the man from being in contact with the other person.

The RO was confirmed, and the suspect was taken into custody. He was also found to allegedly be in possession of a small amount of methamphetamine.

Bail was set at $5,000 and the man was given a citation for a violation of unlawful possession of meth.
