On Tuesday, Governor Tina Kotek issued a proclamation declaring the month of June 2024 as LGBTQ+ Pride Month in Oregon.

Kotek said, “Pride is about love, acceptance, and community. Great joy and great struggle have always existed side by side in the LGBTQ+ movement. Pride will always shine bigger than fear ever can”.

Kotek said, “While we celebrate LGBTQ+ communities every month, June is dedicating to lifting up the invaluable contributions the LGTBQ+ community has made to our state and our world. I am committed to ensuring that all Oregonians across the state, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity, feel welcomed and celebrated”.
