After several days of hot weather, afternoon temperatures are beginning to slowly cool down in the Umpqua Valley.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service said the mercury reached 86 degrees at the Roseburg Regional Airport on Monday. That was well under the record high for June 10th, which was 95 degrees, set in 1940.
Roseburg should see highs of right around 80 degrees through Thursday. Beginning Friday high temperatures will drop to the low to mid 70’s for several days. Little chance of rain is in the forecast for the foreseeable future.
