The first star party of the summer is coming to the Paul Morgan Observatory at Umpqua Community College on Friday night June 28th.
Astronomer Paul Morgan said the program will begin at 9:45 p.m. as twilight fades. It will feature a tour of the Milky Way galaxy and other galaxies. Morgan said it will be held outside with space for folding chairs or blankets for the public to watch the pictures from the telescopes appear on a large screen.
Weather permitting, the observatory will host the public once a month through October.
