The Oregon State University Extension Service and Master Food Preservers are offering a workshop covering disaster preparedness on June 20th.

The event will be held at the Elkton Community Education Center from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

An Extension release said the workshop will help attendees to be ready for potential disasters. Topics will include plans for long-term power outages, safe food storage, water storage and purification methods, and waste disposal. Information will be presented in a budget-friendly approach to empower people to make incremental changes to help protect themselves.
