Sutherlin Police jailed a man for burglary and the theft of limes on Wednesday.
An SPD report said just after 12:30 p.m. an officer was dispatched to a restaurant in the 1300 block of West Central Avenue.
Court documents said the owner reported that their food delivery service had arrived and made a delivery. Afterwards, a man was seen in the delivery area, stealing a large bag of limes. The owner said the man put the limes in his backpack and left.
While viewing the footage, the officer recognized the suspect. He went to an address the man frequents in the 200 block of Camas Court. The 29-year-old was taken into custody without incident. He was charged with second-degree burglary and third-degree theft. Bail was set at $10,000.
The limes were returned to the restaurant.
