ROSEBURG POLICE CHARGE MAN FOR ALLEGED PRIOR THEFT

Roseburg Police charged a man Wednesday, for an alleged prior theft incident.

An RPD report said between May 26th and May 27th a victim’s boat was stolen from his residence in the 1600 block of West Myrtle Avenue. The boat, motor, and hunting gear inside were valued at $18,000. The boat was recovered on Monday and the 59-year-old man was identified as the suspect.

He was already in jail on other charges. The suspect was charged with first-degree theft and is now detained on $55,000 bail.
