Roseburg Police cited a man after a motor vehicle accident on Tuesday.

An RPD report said shortly before 7:50 p.m. officers responded to the 400 block of Northeast Sterling Drive after a pickup allegedly clipped a mailbox with its passenger side mirror.  The 66-year-old driver told officers he swerved to avoid hitting an animal that was crossing the roadway, causing him to hit the mailbox. He was cited for driving uninsured.
