Troopers with Oregon State Police investigated a semi-truck and trailer rollover crash on Wednesday.
An OSP report said at 4:45 p.m. the accident took place on Interstate 5 northbound near milepost 80, close to the Douglas/Josephine County border. The semi was negotiating a curve. Due to the vehicle’s low speed the driver was on the shoulder of the roadway so as to not impede traffic.
The truck and trailer went onto the soft shoulder, which gave out under the truck, causing it to roll down the embankment. Approximately 50 yards of guard rail was damaged. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
