A juvenile was taken to the hospital following a single vehicle accident on Tuesday night.

A Roseburg Police report said just before 7:30 p.m. a 33-year-old man was driving in the 1600 block of West Harvard Avenue when his pickup left the roadway. The vehicle crashed through brush, into a sign and power line guide wires. This resulted in a power outage for a time in the area. The passenger was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center for a head injury.

The driver admitted to being distracted when he dropped something, and the pickup suddenly went off the road. Pacific Power responded and dealt with the guide wires. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
