The Douglas County Parks Department will temporarily close the day use area behind the campground at Amacher County Park on Thursday and Friday.

A County release said the closure is necessary to complete pavement repairs within the park.

The campground, boat ramps, trails, and boat ramp parking lot will remain open and accessible for park patrons. There may be minor delays getting in and out of the campground while the work is being completed.

Amacher Park is located along the banks of the North Umpqua River about 6 miles north of Roseburg. It sits adjacent to the Winchester Bridge at 5750 Northeast Stephens Street.
