Roseburg Police cited four people for littering incidents on Thursday.

An RPD report said at 1:00 p.m. a 56-year-old man and a 46-year-old man were contacted in the 200 block of Southeast Pine Street. The men were reportedly sleeping in a heap of trash near the South Umpqua River. Both admitted that the camp was theirs. They were camping in a prohibited area, and were in violation of the time, place, and manner portions of the city ordinance.

Just before 1:15 p.m. officers contacted a 32-year-old man and a 35-year-old woman at their camp at Deer Creek Park. The camp reportedly violated the time, place, and manner restrictions of the city ordinance. It had debris and trash all around and was within 100 yards of both Deer Creek and the South Umpqua River.

Both sets of people were cited and released for prohibited camping and for depositing trash within 100 yards of a waterway.
