The Umpqua Valley is expecting near average high temperatures for the Memorial Day weekend.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said the Umpqua Valley normally has a high of 72 to 73 degrees for May 25th through 27th. With a high near 70 expected on Friday, the region is slated to cool to the mid to upper 60s on Saturday before rising to the mid to upper 70s on Sunday. Memorial Day should see a high near 80 degrees, which will be 7 to 8 degrees above average.
