UNOFFICIAL PRIMARY ELECTION RESULTS FOR OREGON

Looking around Oregon, the Secretary of State’s Office has released unofficial Primary Elections results for the May 2024 election.

President Joe Biden and presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump cruised to easy victories in the state. President Biden is receiving just over 88 percent of Democratic ballots while Donald Trump is getting over 92 percent of GOP votes.

In federal races, Second District Congressman Cliff Bentz is getting nearly 82 percent of the GOP vote, to 18 percent for Jason Beebe. Fourth District Congresswoman Val Hoyle was unopposed in the primary. On the Republican side, Monique DeSpain is getting the nod with just over 58 percent of the vote to 41 percent to Amy Courser.

In statewide races:

Tobias Read has picked up the Democratic nomination for Secretary of State, receiving just over 70 percent of the vote. James Manning Jr. is second with just over 21 percent. On the GOP side, Dennis Linthicum is getting nearly 66 percent of the vote. Brent Barker has 20 percent to 13 percent for Tim McCloud.

Elizabeth Steiner gets the Democratic nomination for State Treasurer with nearly 78 percent of the vote. Jeff Gudman is receiving nearly 22 percent. Republican Brian Boquist was unopposed, receiving the GOP nomination.

For Attorney General, Will Lathrop beat Michael Cross for the Republican nomination getting 64 percent of the vote to 35 percent for Cross. Democrat Dan Rayfield picks up his party’s nomination getting over 76 percent of the vote to 23 percent for Shaina Maxey Pomerantz.

Statewide voter turnout is running between 26 and 27 percent as of early Wednesday.
