The Oregon Community Foundation has awarded over $5.2 million to 281 nonprofits that the organization believes are making a difference in the state.
An OCF release said for over 27 years, their Community Grants program has supported nonprofits, tribal organizations, and government agencies in all 36 counties in Oregon. Grants in this cycle support responses to community needs in the areas of food insecurity, housing, health, environmental stewardship, arts and culture, community development and more. This year’s grants prioritized small rural nonprofits and organizations that are culturally specific and responsive.
Of the community grants, nearly $57,000 was awarded to Roseburg nonprofits. That includes:
*$12,000 to Source One Serenity
*$10,000 to Onward Roseburg
*$10,000 to Umpqua Valley Farm to School
