Roseburg Police jailed a man following an alleged shoplifting of alcohol incident on Sunday.

An RPD report said just before 12:30 p.m. the 49-year-old was arrested after he admitted to stealing two six-packs of ciders from a store in the 700 block of Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard.

The man had previously been trespassed from the business. He reportedly drank the cider in front of the officer before being taken into custody.  He was charged with first-degree criminal trespass and third-degree theft. Bail was set at $7,500.
