Roseburg Police jailed a man for an alleged disorderly conduct incident at the hospital on Monday.

An RPD report said at 4:30 p.m. the 24-year-old was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center and was in the Emergency Room. After receiving care, the man ripped his IV out and tried to force his way into another room where an infant was receiving care. Security has to force him outside after the man repeatedly yelled the “N” word at numerous staff members and tried to fight others.

The suspect was detained when officers arrived on the scene and was taken into custody. He was charged with second-degree disorderly conduct and probation violations. The man was detained on $2,500 bail.
