It was a near record high in Roseburg on Sunday.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said the mercury reached 85 degrees at the Roseburg Regional Airport. The record high for May 12th was 89 degrees, set in 1949 and again in 1959.

Sunday’s high was 14 degrees above the normal conditions for mid-May, when it is usually in the low 70s.

Highs Monday should be in upper 70s.
