ROSEBURG CITY COUNCIL WITH BUSY AGENDA

The Roseburg City Council has a busy agenda for its meeting Monday night.

A public hearing will be held to consider closing out the Reality Kitchen Community Development Block Grant. The grant was through the Oregon Business Development Department to assist Reality Kitchen in developing an online curriculum to lead young adults who experience Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. The curriculum involved learning and practicing skills required to plan and prepare meals in a home-based environment that could then translate into assisting those with IDD gain meaningful employment in the food industry.

Councilors will consider the city’ annual fee adjustments which covers what staff charge for a variety of services.

The council will vote on authorizing the execution of an intergovernmental agreement with the Oregon Department of Transportation for right-of-way services for the Parker Road Newton Creek Bridge Project.

Mayor Larry Rich will proclaim the week of May 19th-25th as Emergency Medical Services Week and National Public Works Week. The council will discuss whether they want to make any changes to the roles and responsibilities of the Homeless Commission.
