ROSEBURG TIES RECORD HIGH ON SATURDAY

Roseburg tied the record high for the date on Saturday.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service told News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN that the mercury got to 91 degrees at the Roseburg Regional Airport. That tied the record high for May 11th, set in 1931.

The Umpqua Valley is slated to cool by nearly ten degrees on Sunday with a high of 82 degrees expected in Roseburg. The record high for May 12th is 89 degrees, set in 1949 and 1959.

Roseburg should be in the mid to upper 70s on Monday and Tuesday before warming back to the low 80s on Wednesday and Thursday.
