The Sutherlin Area Chamber of Commerce is still taking nominations for first citizen awards, with the First Citizen Banquet set for Sunday May 5th.

Nomination categories include: Man of the Year, Woman of the Year, Inspirational Leader, Outstanding Service Award and Outstanding Area Business.

Completed nomination forms must be received by Friday, April 19th. They can be mailed to the chamber at P.O. Box 1404 in Sutherlin 97479.

Boots & Buckles is the title for the 68th annual First Citizen Banquet. It will be held at 4:00 p.m. at Workman’s Bar & Smokehouse in Green. Contact the chamber at 459-3280 for ticket information.
