ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL MAN FOR UNLAWFUL ENTRY INTO A MOTOR VEHICLE

Roseburg Police jailed a man for unlawful entry to a motor vehicle on Saturday.

An RPD report said at 12:00 p.m. officers responded to the 1600 block of Northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard after a caller said a man was throwing items out of a vehicle that did not belong to him and was discharging a fire extinguisher.

Everything inside the car was thrown into the parking lot. The vehicle sustained approximately $500 in damage from the incident.

32-year-old David Hopkins was charged with unlawful entry into a motor vehicle, second-degree theft and a parole violation. Hopkins was detained on $6,250 bail.
