Roseburg Police jailed two Myrtle Creek residents for unlawful use of a motor vehicle early Friday.
An RPD report said a victim reported that his pickup was stolen from the parking lot of a business in the 2100 block of Northwest Stewart Parkway. The vehicle left the area and came back a few hours later at about 12:00 a.m.
At that time multiple people called to report that a man and a woman were fighting in the truck. Officers arrived and saw the man beside the truck trying to get into the vehicle while the woman was operating the truck. Officers stopped the vehicle and detained the man on handcuffs.
Officers noticed signs of impairment when talking to the woman. She allegedly performed poorly on standard field sobriety tests. The woman was identified as 34-year- old Stephanie Collins. She was charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle, second-degree criminal trespass, driving under the influence of intoxicants and for a warrant. She was detained on $15,000 bail.
The 34-year-old man was also charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle. He was -released early on Friday
