Roseburg Police cited five people for prohibited camping on Wednesday.

An RPD report said at 8:30 a.m. officers contacted the group of men and women, ranging in age from 34 to 53, at their camps in the 700 block of Southeast Stephens Street. Numerous complaints had come in from citizens regarding the camps.

Everyone in the group was issued citations because they were out of compliance with the Time, Place and Manner ordinance.

The campers were released after they were issued citations.
