Mid-spring like weather starts Friday in the Umpqua Valley.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said the region should see five days with sunshine and temperatures more like what are normal for the middle of May. Roseburg is expecting highs between 70 and the mid 70’s through Tuesday. Conditions will change beginning Wednesday with cooler temperatures and the likelihood of rain returning to the region for over a week.

The high on Thursday was 64 degrees at the Roseburg Regional Airport. Medford got to 68 degrees.
