Feeding Umpqua’s Cheese and Thank You promotion continues through the end of March.

Eleven restaurants in Roseburg, Sutherlin, Glide and Myrtle Creek are offering a new take on an old favorite – grilled cheese. Each sale of a grilled cheese item from any of the participating restaurants will result in $2 being donated to Feeding Umpqua, which is a program of the United Community Action Network. This is the fourth year of the Cheese and Thank You fundraiser.

Feeding Umpqua is offering several chances to win prizes during the promotion. Passports can be picked up from any of the participating restaurants. Purchasing five grilled cheese items from any of them and submitting the passport filled out will enter customers into a drawing for a $150 Sherm’s Thunderbird gift certificate.

  • The Pickle Pleaser- Grilled cheese has thinly sliced juicy pickles between delicious layers of melted Havarti & warm sourdough.
  • S’mores Grilled Cheese- Hershey’s chocolate and melted marshmallow on our sourdough bread. It pulls apart just like a grilled cheese, but is a delicious dessert!
• The Friendly Kitchen/ Meals on Wheels (UCC Cafeteria)
  • The Friendly Grilled Cheese-Parmesan-crusted brioche, baked in-house, filled with layers of sharp cheddar, smoked mozzarella, Muenster, and Havarti cheese.

  • The Roz Cheese- three cheese (swiss, provolone, cheddar) grilled cheese with grilled jalapenos and rose hip jam

  • Cheesy Garlic Parmesan Grilled Cheese Sandwich- Cheddar, swiss, & provolone with a spread of cream cheese mix melted on Garlic parm toast

  • The Chickle Pizza- 10” house roasted garlic white sauce, whole milk mozzarella cheese, pickles, Canadian bacon, fresh dill with special dill ranch
