Roseburg Police jailed a man for an alleged prior fraud incident on Saturday and for a new crime as well.
An RPD report said on January 5th officers took a report regarding a wallet being stolen and an Oregon EBT Card from the wallet being used at three businesses in Roseburg. 42-year-old Tracey Fatkin was developed as the suspect from security video from Winco Foods. Fatkin was contacted at corrections where he was already in custody on another case.
He was charged with four counts of felony computer crimes, two counts of felony fraudulent use of a credit card, and for first degree theft.
Earlier that day, just after 8:30 a.m. Fatkin allegedly stole miscellaneous merchandise from a business in the 2100 block of Northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard, before fleeing on foot. Officers found the man walking eastbound nearby. Fatkin admitted to stealing about $130 worth of items. He was charged with second-degree theft.
