Roseburg Police jailed a man for an alleged harassment incident early Friday.

An RPD report said just before 3:45 a.m. officers responded to a disturbance in the 400 block of Northeast Winchester Street. A 45-year-old man stated that a victim had taken $1,000 from him and he had used physical force to get the money back. Officers spoke with the victim who showed officers multiple scratches and red marks on her body.

The man was taken into custody without incident and charged with harassment. He was detained on $6,250 bail and was released early Monday.
