A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect through 4:00 pm. Tuesday in mountain areas of southern Oregon.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service said heavy snow is expected. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 12 inches above 3,000 feet in the Douglas County foothills and between 20 and 28 inches in the high Cascades.
This includes the eastern Douglas County foothills and the south-central Oregon Cascades including highways 62, 230, 138 and 58 and applies to Diamond Lake, Crater Lake and Union Creek.
Forecasters said travel could be very difficult to impossible. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility.
