A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until Sunday evening at 10:00 p.m. above 1,500 feet with a Winter Storm Warning from 10:00 a.m. Monday through 4:00 p.m. Tuesday for central Douglas County and its eastern foothills above 1,800 feet.
For the Advisory, an additional 3 to 7 inches of snow is expected. For the Warning, heavy snow is expected with total accumulations of 5 to 12 inches.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service said this includes highways 138 and 42, the Tiller-Trail Highway, Interstate 5 at Stage Pass Road, and Canyon Creek Pass, Toketee Falls, Steamboat, Tiller and Glendale.
Travel is strongly discouraged due to dangerous conditions. Those who must travel should keep tire chains, a flashlight, blankets, food, water, medications, and a fully charged phone with them.
