HOME AND GARDEN SHOP HAPPENING FRIDAY-SUNDAY

February 27, 2024 3:20 a.m.

The Umpqua Valley Home Builders Association is presenting its annual Home and Garden Show Friday through Sunday at the Douglas County Fairgrounds.

It will be held in Douglas Hall and the Community Conference Hall.

Over 100 experts specializing in making project ideas come true will be at the event. That includes builders, contractors, remodelers, and landscapers plus more. There will be live in-booth presentations, and door prizes. Food and local breweries will be on-site.

Those who visit all 6 sponsor booths and get their passport stamped have an opportunity to win a two-night stay in a fireside cabin at Diamond Lake Resort. The winner will be announced at the end of the show on Sunday.

On Saturday, attendees can vote for their favorite outdoor furniture as local schools compete in the third annual build off challenge. All furniture will be silently auctioned at the show. Proceeds raised will go back to each participating school. Saturday is Family Day with a primary focus on reaching out to families looking for home and outdoor projects.

On Sunday, seniors and veterans get into the show for free.

Hours for the event are Friday and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
