ROSEBURG CITY COUNCIL WITH VARIED AGENDA MONDAY NIGHT

The Roseburg City Council has a varied agenda for its Monday night meeting.

Mayor Larry Rich will report on awards the city has received for excellence and outstanding achievement in financial reporting.

The annual comprehensive financial report will be given by auditor Jeff Cooley of Neuner Davidson & Co.

Councilors are expected to select three people for positions on the Economic Development Commission. Eight applications have been received.

The council will vote on approving a tax exemption for Sunshine Park Apartments located on Sunshine Road. The low-income complex has received an exemption yearly since 2022.

Councilors will vote on using $50,000 in American Rescue Plan Act funds to provide cash flow assistance for the off-street parking fund.

They will vote on authorizing the city to withdraw from an intergovernmental agreement with Douglas County Fire District No. 2 for the purpose of dissolving the MedCom Authority.
