ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL TWO PEOPLE ON MULTIPLE COUNTS FOLLOWING A TRESPASS INCIDENT

Roseburg Police jailed two people on multiple counts following a trespass incident on Wednesday.

An RPD report said at 8:00 a.m. officers contacted 34-year-old Nicholas Kindel and 32-year-old Kristen Sandidge in the 1600 block of Northwest Ashley Avenue where they were allegedly camping on private property. The pair reportedly had their belongings, along with trash and debris, scattered throughout their campsite.

Kindel had allegedly crawled through a fence into a US Cellular tower that had a power box and plugged in his extension cords to access power for the campsite. Both were taken into custody without incident.

Kindel was charged with second-degree criminal trespass, third-degree theft of services, and offensive littering. He was detained on $3,750 bail. Sandidge was charged with offensive littering and three warrants. She was held on $11,250 bail.
