Roseburg Police jailed two people following a reported shoplifting incident on Friday.

Information from RPD said at 2:30 p.m. officers were dispatched to Oregon Tool & Supply in the 200 block of Southeast Stephens Street after a caller said the pair was shoplifting. Officers arrived and found 35-year-old Sean McCraw and a 35-year-old woman sitting in the store after employees locked the doors to prevent them from leaving. Both people reportedly admitted to attempting to leave the business without paying for items.

While being booked, jail deputies allegedly located a small baggy of a chalk like substance in McCraw’s pocket. In addition, the woman reportedly had two baggies, one with a clear crystalline substance and the other with a pink chalk-like substance.

Both were charged with third degree theft and supplying contraband. McCraw was also charged with unlawful possession of methamphetamine. Each was detained without bail and released on Sunday.
