A Roseburg man was arrested by Roseburg Police for driving under the influence of intoxicants early Friday.

An RPD report said at 2:30 a.m. an officer stopped the 48-year-old after he left a business in the 900 block of Southeast Stephens Street and pulled out in front of a semi-truck, almost causing an accident. During the traffic stop near the intersection of Stephens and Southeast Cass Avenue, an officer noticed signs of impairment.

The man allegedly admitted to drinking, smoking marijuana, and taking several types of medications. He reportedly performed poorly on standard field sobriety tests and was placed in custody. The man was booked and released on the charge. His vehicle was impounded.
