Roseburg Police responded to four DUII incidents in 17 hours between Wednesday morning and early Thursday.
An RPD report said just after 8:20 a.m. officers responded to the intersection of Northwest Broad Street and Northwest Edenbower Boulevard regarding a sedan that was stalled in a lane of travel. The 19-year-old driver allegedly showed signs of impairment. It was determined that he was unsafe to complete standard field sobriety tests and he was arrested. The vehicle was determined to be stolen and the owner was notified. The man was charged with DUII and unauthorized use of a vehicle. He was detained without bail and was released later in the day.
At about 10:50 p.m. a 62-year-old man was stopped for a traffic violation in the 2200 block of Northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard and allegedly displayed signs of impairment. He conducted standard field sobriety tests and reportedly performed poorly. He was charged with DUII and was taken to corrections where he was booked before being released.
Thursday at approximately 1:10 a.m. a traffic stop was conducted on a 49-year-old man near the intersection of Southeast Mosher Avenue and Southeast Pine Street, after he reportedly fled from a disturbance. The driver displayed signs of impairment and allegedly performed poorly on standard field sobriety tests. He was arrested for DUII and was booked at corrections before being released to a sober adult.
Just after 1:30 a.m. a 30-year-old Winston man was stopped for traffic violations near the corner of Southeast Lane Avenue and Southeast Main Street. He displayed signs of impairment and reportedly performed poorly on standard field sobriety tests. He was charged with DUII, booked at corrections and released to a sober adult.
