ROSEBURG POLICE CHARGE MAN FOR DUII-ALCOHOL AFTER OVERNIGHT TRAFFIC STOP

Roseburg Police charged a man for driving under the influence of intoxicants-alcohol, after an overnight traffic stop on Friday.

An RPD report said at 2:30 a.m. an officer stopped the man near the intersection of Northeast Jackson Street and Northeast Freemont Avenue and allegedly observed indicators of impairment. The 23-year consented to standard field sobriety tests and allegedly performed poorly.

He was arrested for DUII and taken to corrections where he submitted to a breath test. The man was booked and then released to a sober adult.
